Have you seen a wolf cry, tears streaming down it’s muzzle?
Showing weakness for once in life; not able to handle it’s puzzle.
Unable to howl its sorrow to the world, cant find words at all.
Watch gently if you wish as you see this great beast fall.
Have you seen a wolf silenced, blinded by its own pain?
Shamed for hurting another; it hangs its head again
Cant even whisper ‘sorry’ for the words just do not flow.
Watch if you must with sorrow as he turns and decides to go.
Have you seen a wolf hide, disappearing right from sight?
Never wanting to see one and just to escape into the night
Hanging low, cannot stand tall. The once there is gone.
Watch on with bewilderment at the wolf that once shon.
Have you seen a wolf plead, gentle tones so soft?
He gently gives a saddened sigh and the wind subtly coughs.
No longer wanting to live; wanting not to be alive.
Watch if you can with grief as the wolf loses will to survive.
Have you seen a wolf die, from sadness just suddenly fall?
Its life it gladly does give and no longer standing tall.
This great beast fell as normal; went as it desired to.
Could you watch on with regret as this beast falls and passes through?
Can you hear the wolf’s cry still carried on the wind?
Hear it still plead softly to be forgiven for it sinned.
It is too late to go back now, time has taken toll.
You should have heard the cry, before that great beast fell.
