Literature Text

The wind carries the feeling of fear and utter hate.
A wolf watches hunters approach; run? Its far too late.
The wolf stands her ground prepared for battle.
The feeling of stress and bewilderment makes her unsettled.
She bows her head in respect and raises it again.
Fear and strength course through her veins causing unbearable pain.
She didn’t want to do it she had no reason to fight.
The sun beats down bitterly, its rays are immensely bright.
If only the hunter would stop and listen to what she had to stay.
She shakes her head sadly the hunter got the battle underway.
First was the metal bat, so heavy and so harsh.
The wolf dodges the first blow, t slams into the grass.
The second swing wasn’t as lucky as the bat makes contact with her.
Belted in the shoulder she gave a cry, sweat sticks to her fur.
The wolf is down in great pain. She raises herself and continues her stand.
The bat swung towards her again, but she grabs it with reflex smooth.
The hunter loses grip and the wolf prepares to make her move.
Dropping the bat she watches in shock as a can is emerged.
Flames!! The wolfs worst fear – she is dead now – “come on” a soft whisper urged.
With skill and reflex, she constantly avoided the flame.
The can runs out of fuel, the hunter gets angry again.
The wolf stands wait for her attackers’ next plan.
The hunter backs off and moves towards his clan.
The wolf drops in relief; pain seizes her shoulder once more.
The gratitude of life is what her soul can forever with honour bore.
